A Snapshot of Anvil Angus

Anvil Angus started with a melting pot of leading Australian and American angus genetics. Individual cows were sourced from a variety of leading angus herds. Larger lines of females were obtained from Ardrossan and Vermont as well as dispersals such as Millah Murrah, Robonbel, Gunbar, Beartooth and Springburn. These have been further augmented with embryos from two of the USA's leading angus herds in SAV and Sitz, as well as the progressive Ellingson Angus, where we have access to their leading donors.

Our HBR females are artificially inseminated to leading domestic and international sires which we have personally inspected.

Our HBR artificial insemination program is followed up with bulls of the calibre of Banquet Time Frame, Texas Western Force and Boonaroo Freightliner – high quality sires that can add to the calibre of calves produced from the AI program.

Today we have a cow herd unparalleled to any other in the industry. No other herd has had the genetic diversity as a base.
